Team RMS Sweeps Champions Honda Spring Series at PaxTrax
June 12, 2007
In its inaugural motocross series, Team RMS sweeps the first annual spring series sponsored by Champions Honda with team riders, Mack Garza and Brian Curtiss bringing home the number one plate in the 150cc open class and 35+ class respectively.
Team rider Terry Long finished out the series with a second place points standing in the competitive 30+ class, while Mack Garza, pulling double duty, finished with a second place points standing in the 16” Pit Bike class. The 16” Pit Bike points race came down to the last moto of the last round, with Garza finishing a very respectable 3rd overall, forfeiting the division championship to Adam Comeens. A mere 8 points separated the two when the checkered flag flew, ending a series that saw some seriously close competition between the two young riders. |

“As a team owner, I am beyond pleased” said Michael Urban, the team’s owner, “We set very simple and realistic goals at the onset of our racing season. I wanted the guys to have fun and finish the races. Two championships and two second place overalls is a great start!”
The team is taking July and August off from racing to focus on rider development, team expansion into ATV and National arenacross racing, and to prepare for another team sweep in the upcoming Fall Photo Finish motocross at PaxTrax Motocross Park, which will begin early September.
