5th Annual Florida Georgia Sports Committee 2008 Fall Classic

The 2008 Florida Georgia Fall Classic is set to begin Sunday September 7, 2008 at Bostwick Creek Motocross Park, North Central Florida’s premiere traditional outdoor style motocross track. The series is sanctioned by the blossoming Florida Georgia Sports Committee, headed up by Bostwick owner and motocross racer Bernie Perone. The not-for-profit committee was formed in 2008 and has quickly gained traction as one our state's finest sanctioning bodies solely dedicated to the betterment of our sport and proper treatment of its participants.
“The state of the Florida motocross scene, with exceptions of course, is kind of a joke,” states Michael Urban, founder and president of Racing Media Services and an accomplished motocross racer. “In meeting and deciding to work with Bernie (Perone) I discovered we shared a similar attitude towards this region's motocross 'management entities',” Urban continues, “and as two motocross racers, he with his working knowledge of operating a motocross facility and sanctioning races, and my skills in advertising, marketing and promotion, it was a natural fit for us to team up and grow our respective organizations side-by-side, turning them both into premier Florida motocross racing entities." |

The pitch: "Traditional Sunday Outdoor Style Motocross on Florida & Georgia’s Premiere Motocross Tracks." Rounds 1 and 5 will be held at Bostwick Creek Motocross Park Sept 7 , 2008 and November 2, 2008 respectively. North Florida Motocross Park will host Rounds 2 and 4, September 28, 2008 and October 26, 2008 respectively. Alma MX Park will hold Rounds 3 and 6, October 5, 2008 and November 16, 2008 respectively. The seven-race series will conclude November 30, 2008 at Pax Trax Motocross Park in Bunnell Florida.
The series grand finale will be the awards BBQ following a free day of riding for the series participants. Over $10,000 in contingency prizes will be awarded, as well as all division points champions being entered into a drawing for a brand new 2008 Suzuki DRZ 70 donated by North Jax Motorsports, one of the proud sponsors of the Fall Classic. Sponsor Racing Media Services will be onsite at all races providing event coverage and photography, and will be giving Race-Day-Give-A-Ways at Round 1 to all registered racers. Along with North Jax Motosports and Racing Media Services, the 2008 FGSC Florida Georgia Fall Classic is proudly sponsored by, Fly Racing, Western Powersports, DNA Energy Drink, Decal Works and Beck’s Tech Suspension and Off Road / Motocross Performance.
