Update: Jason Beck - FTR MX Championship Chase

Team RMS Rider Jason Beck, now riding the mighty KTM 450 SX, has just returned from Florida Trail Riders Round 6 MX Series race held January 27th at Seminole Tribe Motocross Park, located inside the Big Cypress Indian Reservation in Big Cypress, Florida. With 7 of the 10 races in the series complete, the super-consistent and ultra-smooth Beck sits in 3rd place in the point standings, a mere 10 points out of second place in the series' very competitive 35+ Open Division. Beck, previously a 250cc Four Stroke ace pilot, struggled with his new KTM 450cc powerhouse, crashing in practice and losing a lap or two as the result of stalling the bike in moto number two. Still, with his very solid 5th and 6th place finishes in motos number one and two respectively, Beck earned a respectable 6th overall.

With only 4 races to go in the series, the championship may go down to the wire, with RMS team rider Jason Beck in a good position to bring home the coveted #1 Plate. Fellow FTR MX Series 35+ Division competitor Brett Driscoll, aboard his #301 Honda, had come on very strong as the series hit the midway point, catapulting himself to a very close 3rd place overall standing...only 58 points behind Beck, as the result of a three race winning streak. Unfortunately, the series' current 35+ Division points leader, Ed Higgins, will be forced to walk away from the points battle, as the #32 Honda rider will be relocating to Texas.
