Team RMS Fall Photo Finish Series Recap
January 11, 2008
Team RMS continues to maintain their winning ways in this, the team’s sophomore year, by sweeping the second annual Fall Photo Finish Series at Pax Trax Motocross Park.
Bryan Curtiss took top honors in the 35+ Open class bringing home yet another number 1 plate, while teammate Terry Long placed second overall in the series’ 30+ Open division. Long was well on his way to another division championship, and left the championship trophy on the table for the sole reason of having missed a series event due to previous commitments.
The weather wreaked havoc on the series schedule with multiple rain-outs and make up dates making it very challenging for the racers to compete in this series in its entirety. Tyler Curtiss, the teams mini pilot, followed Long’s example in taking the second place overall honors in the 85cc Ages 7-11 class. The younger Curtiss also enjoyed his first-ever 1st place overall during the 4th round of the series. Michael Urban, the team’s principal, made a cameo appearance in the first round of the RMS sponsored series, and to the surprise of many, took a first overall on the RMS KX 125 two-stroke. Reignited with a desire to compete Urban committed himself to the championship chase and walked away after the 5th and final round the 125 B class champion. |
